Our History, Our Legacy

Peace Bereavement Care Pte Ltd began in 1923 and was then known as Wee Brothers. Founded by the late Mr Wee Un Teck, it operated off a shop-house in Selegie Road and was known to provide quality funeral services especially to the Christian community in Singapore. For a large part of its illustrious history, the company was kept within the Wee family. With a changing landscape, it took on a more-industrious name of Wee Casket in 1975 and re-located to its present office at 17 Opal Crescent.

In December 2001, Mr Peter Yan and his wife, Ms Chow Hsun Cheng acquired the company. Ms Chow is a qualified pharmacist and Mr Yan was the Managing Director of Trinity Casket from 1994 to 2000. He is currently also the Vice-President of the Association of Funeral Directors, Singapore.

Maintaining the tradition of personalized service, and catering to a modern Singapore with new mindsets and preferences, the heritage service strive to be a more professional, more customer-oriented, and a more progressive care and service provider. Hence, the new name of Peace Bereavement Care as we continue the legacy of personalized care. Major renovations were made to enhance our service to our customers.
